Thanks for all your hard work guys. Without all of your efforts the media section of our website would not be where it is today. We’ve gotten so many complements on how intuitive and user friendly it is to browse our media content since making the switch to mediacore. Hi! Is there a way for changing the group (default: Administrators) when a user is created?
it seems that there`s no way in adding other groups (e.g. Friends). And is there also a way for changing user permissions (e.g friends are not allowed to delete podcasts) How can i do that? found nothing on your doc site…

A followup to database gripes: There are two files included in the MediaCore 0.8 git repository that should translate any 0.7.2 databases into 0.8 databases (as always, make backups before trying these, if you can’t afford to lose your data).

First, import the .sql file using mysql, then run the .py file, with your virtualenv activated. If you don’t have root access to your MySQL database, remove the trigger definitions (line 169 and below) from the .sql file.

An IIS version? As in Microsoft? No.

If you can get Python to run on IIS then I suppose it’s possible, though I’m not sure how far you’d get because a lot of the packages depend on other linux packages.
