We’ve been very busy getting the final marketing information together for MediaCore and decided that it would be a great idea to share a few things with the community that they could include in blog posts and twitterings.
The first item is a {heart} MediaCore image. Feel free to download it and use it to your heart’s content.
The second item is just a quick snippet of code that includes our marketing spiel that can be added on any site.

Unfortunately the installation process was a nightmare and I was not able to install the package at the end. I am a noobie with python but I managed to install python, and python mode on my local apache server.
setup.py failed on me, I had to copy ez_setup.py from the other packages. Then it failed with BeautifulSoup! I downloaded it and setup it up. Then it failed on me with SQLAlchemy, so I downloaded it and installed that one as well. After all that it again failed on me with MySQL-python, so I downloaded and installed it.
Just as it wasn’t enough already, I realised I have to have a C compiler to install MySQL-python!!
Then I just gave up since I’m not even sure if I am allowed/able to do all these modification on my live server.
I would really appreciate it if you could tell me the ETA on making the installation piss easy on apache/python.
