Hey there guys.

We have the domain tubetube.tv and we want to server media core at its root http://www.tubetube.tv/ instead of http://www.tubetube.tv/my_media

changing the /my_media references to / in deployment.ini and the mod_wsgi calls in httpd.conf doesnt seem to work. Can you give us any pointers?

We have mediacore installed and it was working great, until our san drive unmounted on the server.
After restore -- no files lost -- and restart of all services, the mediacore runs for a short time and then quits
is there a python setting that would make this happen repeatidly ?

Hello,

Just to clarify as I am not a tech guy.

If I use WP as a CMS for Mediacore, can the registration of new members be done by WP?

In other terms, I would like that only registered users watch the videos. Can it be done with WP?

Thanks guys

I love MediaCore - great job, guys!

However, there doesn't seem to be many updates letting us know your roadmap, development or when the next release might be!

I'd love to know what you're working on and when you anticipate reaching certain milestones/are adding new features.

Hi,

I've just setup MediaCore on my server, and I'm encountering the following problem.

I set:
db_table_prefix = mcore

The system works fine, but there seems to be a bug when trying to display the detail page of a file when using db_table_prefix.

The system doesn't seem to take into account the value in the config. The bug report is here: http://rhubarbtv.com/_debug/view/1282828668

Hello,

I do like your podcast publication platform a lot, the idea is just so amazing, and this site would be very useful for many of Arab podcasters and music communities, so, I would really appreciate if you consider making an Arabic version of your website and CMS which can serve you better in the whole Middle East region, I would love to help you translating it from English to Arabic myself, a very easy-to-understand translation, and at the end somehow it will get you more revenue/benefits.

Right now- I'm doing this only to expand the Arabic Enabled websites on the internet, I don't ask for any kind of money or anything, I'm doing this totally free, I helped FeedMyApp.com with their first Arabic Enabled version at eg.FeedMyApp.com (The Egyptian Edition) I did translate, and I do update the website with the content on regular bases.

Thank you!

I am really keen to use your script and swap my old site over, but just have a couple of questions about your hosting plans, I have also sent an email via your contact form but that was only 24hours ago.

I am looking to start with basic hosting plan then upgrade as needed, currently my site averages 60gig traffic per month so basic should be fine. Are you able to update when needed for no extra costs besides the increased monthly fee?

Do you have some existing sites on your servers that we can see as to determine what sort of speed they are getting, as from past experience some shared hosts can be really slow?

Does your hosting packages come with full access, eg CPANEL etc?

Can I install Mediacore myself or do you have to do it?

Do you have a copy of your TOS?

Sorry if some of this info is already on your website, I couldnt find it. Thanks again.

And, if there are more than 1 page of results the links to the subsequent pages (at the bottom) take you to the page 2 (and so forth) of which every category you happen to be in rather than the next page of results that you searched for.

I didnt know if anyone could point me in the right direction as I'm working on modifying helpers.html to work with (I hope) with locally based media servers. However I've noticed that 'file.play_url' and 'file.link_url' per the docs aren't the actual stored filename inside data/media/ which seems to be stored in the db per file_name.

Is there any procedure or pre-existing class I can use to access both the file_name and also the container.

I'd like to check against the container, run an if test if its mp4/flv and pass it through specific changes in the javascript setup.

It seems that this is all I'm missing, as I've got symbolic links to the proper mediacore directories to pass through the directory needed locally for the media server to setup a stream, however the generated play_url wont work because its not the actual file name, nor the real location needed for the media server.
